Train well, race smart and win!
Achieving a personal goal early in life, Diane was placed in the coveted “Top 10” ranking of US women in the demanding sport of the Triathlon in 1988.
Soon after Diane turned her sights to helping other athletes do the same by developing and managing Santa Barbara-based Diamondback/GNC Cycling Team - a team of 30 talented road and track cyclists incorporating a Youth, Women’s, Master’s, and Elite Men’s teams. The Diamondback/GNC Cycling Team trained in Santa Barbara county and raced in competitions throughout the United States with Diane at the helm from 1988 to 1991.
Determination, focus and fortitude are the qualities that define Diane Dennell and provided her the foundation to follow her passion and start her own company.
In 1991, Pathfinder Tours; a “soft adventure” company providing leisure and corporate groups with bicycling and hiking tour experiences throughout Santa Barbara and the Santa Ynez Valley wine country was officially ‘open for business’. It was only a matter of time before Pathfinder Tours would evolve into a full-service destination, special event and meeting management company. In 1995, the broader base of services, destination and meeting management, and event production was launched as Business Executives Travel Association, Inc. – B.E.T.A. , for short.
With an integrous team of creative and dynamic individuals dedicated to a common purpose of working hard, the zest and passion for life B.E.T.A. represented was quickly contagious to a fast growing list of exuberant clients in the Santa Barbara County market for destination management, meeting management and event production services.
Once again, Diane broke her own mold, and following tremendous successes on a regional and national level throughout the early and middle 2000’s, she launched Relevé Unlimited in 2005. Reflective of the growing desire from clients and property partners to think well beyond the proverbial box, and to reach greater heights and imaginations, the word Relevé alone, the French ballet term for ‘on your toes‘ or ‘reach higher‘, embodied the elevated sense of passion, commitment and excellence in leadership that Diane and the team at Relevé Unlimited had come to embody, unparalleled in the industry.
The long and loyal list of Relevé Unlimited clients are a testament to Relevé’s determination to remain true to the organization’s original founding goals and ideals. Train well, race smart and win…
Diane has two accomplished sons, Tom and Alan. Tom recently graduated from Colorado College with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Liberal Arts; his major being Political Science and is forging a career in the software industry. While Alan has just completed his Junior year of High School and is following in his Mom’s footsteps as an accomplished BMX athlete winning competitions around the Western United States. Diane’s home in Los Olivos, California is flooded with furry friends and lots of laughter as Lillie, Maddie and Mimi move in and out of the excitement and commotion, always thrilled to be part of the team’s adventure whatever that may be.
An avid runner and swimmer to this day, with daily workouts that would make Lance Armstrong or Michael Phelps pause, turning a bench mark at 50, Diane remains passionate about inspiring others to get out and get moving; to challenge themselves in any endeavor that gets their soul moving, heart pumping, enjoying the great outdoors at every turn.

Partnering our clients with my passion for sports – especially running and triathlons – is a natural, employing the same gears on our proverbial DMC bike, to a new and parallel course, as we continue to service our DMC clients and property partners, while inspiring ourselves and those we work with through new business opportunities. ”
